Cancellations/No Shows: We allow cancellations at no charge up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will automatically be charged the full cost of your appointment. If you fail to show for your appointment, you will automatically be charged the full cost of your appointment. These fees are not covered by insurance, and are the patient's financial responsibility. We ask that you be mindful and respectful of the fact that the time you chose to schedule for your appointment is specifically reserved for you to see a licensed health care provider, and no one else can reserve this time. In the case of frequent late cancellations and no shows, and failure to pay outstanding amounts due, we may terminate treatment due to treatment recommendation noncompliance.
Full Cost: This does not mean your copay amount, it means the amount you pay + your insurance company pays (the full cost of the service).
24 Hours: 24 hours means 24 hours from the time of the service, not same day cancellations. If you have an appointment on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, you latest you are allowed to cancel your appointment without incurring any fees is Monday at 9:59 AM.
Punctuality: We also ask that you be punctual. If you arrive late to your appointment, you will be honored the remainder of your appointment time, but will be financially responsible for the amount of time you scheduled for your appointment, not the amount received.
Financial Responsibilities: You are responsible for the cost of your services, whether self-pay or cost sharing with your health insurance company. Payment is due at the time that services are rendered. In the case of frequent late cancellations or no shows, we will ask you to prepay at the time you schedule your appointment. Late payments will incur late fees, and may be subject to being sent to collections. We accept all major credit cards, HSA accounts, cashier's checks and money orders. We do not accept cash or personal checks.
Emergencies/Urgent Matters: Agape Therapy Institute is an outpatient counseling center, not an emergency room, urgent care center, or crisis center. Our normal hours of operation are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. You are welcome to leave a message on our office voicemail after hours, and your call will be returned within one business day. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your closest hospital. If you are experiencing an urgent matter, please call 211 to speak with a crisis hotline counselor. 211 is available 24/7 and is a free service offered by United Way in the State of Florida.

We understand that there are extenuating circumstances for many clients, particularly financially. We do our best to provide financial assistance for fee for service, and payment plans for patients who are in need.
